So here you have the second part of my vacation, plus a picture from the first week already in college (in the first week whe always do some sort of 'welcome' week to the new freshmen and we have this picnic at the end of the week). This bunch is just a few pictures, the first 2 pictures are from a place in Campo Grande where whe can see this really awesome sunset and the rest is more focused on my trip back to Rio, because I didn't even take that much pics in the first place because I was all about enjoying myself more, so almost everytime I didn't remember taking pictures or taking my camera with me somewhere.
And for those in the last post asked me if I really did the cover of my notebook, yes I did! hahaha, it's really easy actually, nothing that hot glue can't help you :)
Hello, dear readers! I was M.I.A. for a while mostly because of my vacations back home and my beloved "time to think". My vacations were great and now I'm back in Rio and already studying again. Things are going really great here, and how about you guys? How have you been doing? I stopped reading blogs too, I have to catch up.
I decided to post now because I felt that just now my year started, you know? I don't know something just clicked and I'm feeling better right now. My "time to think" let me understand that some things take a while to happen and may not even happen if I don't work hard to get it. Things don't come easy nor they'll fall from the sky.
This blog manly will be a place where I come to vent and post some of my work (being it in photography or college assignments). I felt sometimes that I create this to get something that I didn't even know what it was, but now I get that I don't need that. I'm just going to enjoy it.
Anyway, these pictures are mostly from my vacation where I had some fun, drank too much, slept more than 10 hours and just did nothing at all. But it was good. More posts to come!

That's it for now, guys! I'll see you soon, take care! :)
These day have been pretty boring. I haven't done anything exciting. These pictures are from a day I went downtown to have my nails done. I edited them, if you guys want to see the colored ones, let me know.
What are you guys up to?
Oh Well, first post of 2012! Hoe didi you guys spend your new year's eve? Mine was pretty chill. I spend some time with my parents then went out with some friends. I didn't even remember taking pictures to show you, but I think it's ok.
My Christmas was interesting though, it's been some years that my parents and I didn't spend it with more people. So it was nice to go to my Dad's friend's house to celebrate it. Funny thing is that the 24th was my Dad's friend's dad birthday!
Here are some pictures (none of them are edited) I took while going there and of the birthday (yeah, I like blurry pictures):
Oh god, it's been a long time I don't post here. Uni took all my time, BUT now the semester is over and I'm on vacation.
While the semester was running, we had a magazine project, and my team's magazine was about fashion, so we did an Editorial named 'New Tropicalism' based on what Brazil's fashion would be on 2021. It's a very experimental thing, but I liked the results.
Here are some of the pictures:
You guys can see more on my Flickr, if you want! The weather is not even good, it's raining since yesterday, the only thing I did today was pint my nails, haha. This shoot gave me the inspiration I needed to start taking pictures again, wich is really great since it's been a long time since I last put my hands on my camera.
Take Care, and now I really will post on this often.
The first one was created in Rio de Janeiro in 1889. The idea behind this project was that it'd assist the children of the soldiers that might die in war. However, it was just boys were allowed to get into this school. Just in 1989, girls were accepted. And now, they even accept non-military related children. And they just accept children that are going to the 6th grade or above. Let me explain:
If you are a non-military related children, the first year you can get in a school like this is at the 6th grade. If you wasn't able to pass, you have a second chance but just if you are going to the 11th grade. To get in, you have to do a Math Test and a Portuguese Test (for you that don't live here in Brazil the equivalent would be an English Test) based in all you have learned untill now. If you pass, great. If not, well, that's it. Because they just open few vacancies. The rest is all for military related children.
My Dad is a Military. However, it's not that easy. As I was going to the 6th grade and never studied in a Military School before, I had to do the tests too (You always take this test if it's you first time getting in a school like this). You just don't have to take the test if you already study in a Military School and your Dad/Mom/Person Responsible for you is beeing transfered to another State that has a Military School (as I said, there are 12 in Brazil), you automatically have a place in the School.
Well, I got in, YAY, right? Hmm, no, not really. The really good thing is that the educational system in these establishments are really good. Better than the average. However, you have too many rules to obey. When you first get in, you have a Behavior Grade (BG), that is 8. It can get higher if you don't break the rules, if you don't obey, they take points out and if your BG gets in 3, they pretty much are going to expell you and you can never enter another Military School.
I studief in the CMCG: Colégio Militar de Campo Grande; the best out of the 12. But the rules were really stupied (in my opinion), I couldn't paint my nails unless if it was a transparent nail polish, just could use my hair in a pony tail because it was long (if the length is above your sholders you can use it normally), couldn't use big earrings, couldn't use rings unless it was a very descrit one, like a promisse ring in just ONE of my hands. Oh boy, I can go on an on about it. You don't have individual expression in there. It sucks. The only reason I stayed there was because of the education I received there. I wouldn't have learned anything If I studied somewhere else.
We have 5 different uniforms:
This one we use when we have a 'special occasion'
that is not THAT special
This uniform we use everyday. When we don't have that 'special occasion'
that's not THAT special
Our 'special occasion' uniform, behind us, the entrance of the school
We use this one when we have activities in the afternoon.
However, in this picture, we were having internal games in the school,
that's why we are laid on the ground, in normal day we couldn't
never do that. lol
I don't have pictures of the fifth one myself, but it's the one used to gym classes. It's horrible. Seriously.
I'll let you with these two videos of my graduation, this outfit here is just used in special occasions:
Well, I guess this explain a lot for now. It became really long. If you have more questions, just let it in the coments!
Take care!
